For those of you how are not quite sure if you want to make a full commitment to "healthy food", here are some recipes that are easy and  tasty snacks, to help you with an easier transition into a Healthy Kitchen Flavors way of eating.

Eating healthier starts with the small changes. It can make a big difference if many of your eating and cooking habits are slightly changed to favor a more healthy life style... here are some of the changes I made at the beginning:

Substitute oil for butter.  Oil is a healthier alternative, and can be substituted in nearly every cooking case!

Smaller portions. Americans eat too much, and we don't realize it. If we start scooping less onto our plates, we will feel and look better over time.  The goal when eating is to be satisfied, not stuffed.

Chew your food. Too many people inhale their food. Your digestive tract depends on that initial breakdown that occurs in your mouth by the crushing of your teeth and the chemical breakdown of the enzymes in your saliva. If this doesn't happen, your stomach acid cannot digest your food properly.

Chew slowly. You will actually fill up on less food this way. This is because your stomach does not send immediate messages to your brain, so if you eat fast, you will keep putting food into your stomach before you even know that you were already at your limit. If you eat slow, your stomach will have time to tell your brain that you are full before too much more food gets into your belly!
